2023 Payment and Refund Policy

It is required that you read and sign this Payment and Refund Policy to understand the commitment that you are undertaking before registering for courses.

1. General

• In the event of a withdrawal, the student must return the manual, workbook, chart(s), and model, as applicable prior to receiving a refund.

2. Course Fees

Registration and course fees are paid to Carolynn’s Reflexology & Wellness Training. The course fees (subject to change) are:

Professional Core + Foot Reflexology Certification course fee is $2500.00 (plus GST).

ONLINE Professional Core + Foot Reflexology Certification course fee is $2300.00 (plus GST). *There are no refunds

Professional Hand Reflexology Certification course fee is $1295.00 (+ GST).

*Included in the price: Course manual, foot chart, home study workbook, mandatory course review, one written exam and one practical exam, foot model, and all materials needed for class.

**Not included in the price: Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC®) membership, Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist (RCRT™) program membership fee, or the cost of a professional reflexology session (receipt must be presented at final practical exam).

3. Course Fees & Methods of Payment

All course fees must be paid in full at the time of registration by eTransfer, Certified Cheque, Money Order.

4. Notice of Withdrawal

Notice of withdrawal by a student must be made first by telephone and confirmed in writing. The “Course Withdrawal Request” Form will be provided to the student at this time.

5. Limit of Refund

Where total course fees have not been fully collected, a refund will not be any more than the amounts paid less $500.00 for administration fees.

6. Refunds Before the Course Starts

If a student provides written notice of withdrawal to the LCRT sixty (60) days or more before the start of the course:

a) For the Professional Core + Foot Reflexology Certification course, course fees less $500.00 for Administration fees will be refunded.

b) If the student withdrawal is less than sixty (60) days before the start of the Professional Core + Foot Reflexology Certification course or the student does not attend the course, all fees paid are non-refundable. (NOTE: *There are no refunds for the ONLINE Professional Core + Foot Reflexology Certification course fee is $2300.00 (plus GST).

7. Refunds After a Course Starts:

There are no refunds after a course starts.

8. Teacher Withdrawal

Where a LCRT withdraws from teaching a course before the course is completed, the LCRT will, whenever possible, supply a substitute teacher and/or reschedule the course. If a substitute teacher and/or course rescheduling is not possible within 120 days of the scheduled course date, the LCRT will collect all manuals, charts, models or workbooks from the student and refund all monies paid or students may elect to receive a credit note valid for 1 year from the date of cancellation of the course.

9. Change in Course Dates:

If a teacher changes the start date of the course due to:

• Personal illness or illness or death in the family
• Class enrolment of less than four (4) students
• Hazardous traveling conditions or other Acts of God,

then students may attend the rescheduled class or request a full refund from the LCRT.

10. Payment of Refunds

The LCRT will pay valid refunds due to students within sixty (60) days of cancellation or receiving written notice of withdrawal.

11. Dismissal of a Student

Where a student exhibits disruptive behaviour, uses foul or abusive language, constantly interrupts the teacher or comes to class under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the teacher may dismiss the student after the teacher has first issued a verbal, then a written warning. The matter will be reviewed by the LCRT and confirmation of dismissal and loss of fees confirmed in writing to the student. ALL materials, (charts, manuals, models, workbooks etc., are to be collected) prior to any applicable refunds are given.

12. Notices, Complaints and Disputes

All notices and complaints must be in writing and sent by registered mail to RAC®. Complaints and Disputes policy is available upon request.

13. Retake of Exams

Retaking of exams when the 80% passing grade is not achieved will have a fee of $350.00 per exam (Course fee includes one attempt to pass each exam) applied.

14. Replacements of Documents

There is a fee of $125.00 for any documents to be reissued because of loss or misplacement. Certificates, final marks and transcript will be sent to you within 3 weeks of your practical exam.
